One that is too small to be in the Russel Group it reminds me of a large school, not a place for 12,000+ people. But RHUL is currently undergoing some major re-development so this might change quite soon. Lots of opportunities to be involved in clubs and societies. The uni seems good for career opportunities and the internet in my halls was great, 95 mbs download speed and there's WiFi across campus. I had about 2 instances in my entire first year when the internet was down. There are so many societies that are available and even if they are to do with a course you're not studying or a culture you're not a part of - you're still able to join and feel just as much involved. For a university based in such a small town, there is surprisingly always something to do, whether it be taking part in a society or going to one of the libraries/bars. The university is excellent in research and also has very good contacts with companies, so students have all the time feedback from experienced professionals. The only exciting pub was bought by the University and shut down. They even have a policy, so that cups cost 20p not a big deal; but you can't get a free cup of water here as a result. Imagine has changed so that is good. However, the campus lacks on restaurants and bars. But great student feel. A beautiful campus, where I've had the time of my life so far. Accommodation is amazing, It has been a great experience. I wouldn't come here if you want a party uni, but it's a nice smaller community, and a really pleasant campus. Food that is supposed to come with Catered accommodation has to be paid for, adding up to large amount every month just too eat the food that's there for us to survive.
